BMW Z10 Concept Supercar (BMW超級跑車-Z10)




BMW`s Supercar Z10

BMW’s last supercar was the M1 back in 1979. That car was the first car produced by BMW Motorsport, which makes the M-cars like M3, M5 and M6. The BMW M1 had a 3.5 litre inline 6 24 valve engine that made 277hp at 6500rpm and 324Nm of torque at 5000rpm. Tuned versions could make up to 850hp.

Now with it’s involvement with F1, BMW naturally would go what the other car manufacturers in F1 are going to do, make a Supercar. Toyota has it’s Lexus LF-A and Honda has it’s new NSX coming down the lane. BMW’s new Supercar is going to be called the Z10. BMW has set development targets for the Z10 to be a rear/mid-engine Supercar powered by a V10. The V10 would be likely a tuned up version of the advanced M5 V10 5 litre engine that won the 2005,06,07 Engine of the Year award. Targeted performance figures are 550hp and a curb weight of 1200kg which gives the car a power to weight ratio of 458bhp per ton."

在超跑的領域裡,印象中BMW有兩台車般地上檯面:

第一台是M1。
M部門於1979年設計的M1,採用中置引擎,3.5升24汽門的直六擁有277匹馬力及324牛頓米的扭力。

另一台是M8 。
這一台號稱"法拉力殺手"的慕尼黑神秘客,之所以神秘,因為它從未正式公開亮相,但之所以令人再三提起它是因它身上有一顆爆發力十足的超級V-12缸引擎 "S-70" 。BMW原廠設定的S-70就已經達到550匹馬力,後來搭載在McLaren F1配合垂直進氣歧管的加持馬力更來到627匹(扭力超過600 Nm),這顆引擎問世的時間在1993年(14年前),當時McLaren F1可說橫掃千軍,銳不可擋,更創下許多超跑紀錄

這紀錄與現今超跑相比根本毫不遜色,可見S-70之強悍!

目前傳聞中的Z10,極有可能搭載那顆M5的V10引擎,馬力調教後上升至550匹,輕量化的車架讓Z10淨重只有1200KG (個人覺得這個數字不太容易達地到),馬力重量比僅僅2.18KG/HP,絕對有足夠實力赫阻LFA、GTR、NSX的強力挑戰!

但話說回來Z10也不是要作就作,總得CEO點個頭吧,之前M部門曾提到超跑計畫關鍵不在於技術,而是"MONEY" 。BMW認為超跑雖有助於樹立性能形象,卻很難賺地到錢。當初M8胎死腹中官方說法是說環保問題、耗油量過大招致批評等等...,其實據聞喊停的真正關鍵仍是那顆S-70製造成本太過高昂,幾經評估遂忍痛割愛..........
